The Kinks - Arthur

The sheer hilarity of the 12x25 inch kangaroo when you open the gateway folder lp is a cagey intro to the fulminating music within. Addendumly, I wanted to include the "misses" from the record to round out its breadth. In this case, it is the mod historical suite, "Mr. Churchill Says." It is a sound collage chronicling a high spot from the British history, while the band takes it out from the clutches of the three minute, lip synched, song for the radio formula. And so the Kinks roar off from the staid graces governing their republic bobbing in the weary North Sea.
