It sure helps having two lead guitarists paying attention to one another in a band. They kept using leads as rhythms and visa versa. Abstract hooks permeate many of these songs. Additionally, for reasons surely unknown to me, they knew when to get out of the business of being a band. A tough, heady rock quartet who went at it and left transcendent stuff in their wake.
