Wikipedia lists twenty different versions of the San Francisco based band, but the one from 1969-1971 was it’s strongest:
• John Cipollina – guitar
• Greg Elmore – drums
• David Freiberg – bass, vocals
• Nicky Hopkins – keyboards
• Gary Duncan – guitar, vocals
• Dino Valenti – guitar, vocals
Though Hopkins and Valenti were not members at the time of their first album from which Pride of Man was the opening selection. he song was written by British actor/singer Hamilton Camp in 1964. Other musicians that have recorded it include Gordon Lightfoot, Graham Parsons, Tony Rice and the Punch Brothers.
