I favor the atmosphere created here by Ms. Scanlan with electric guitarist Jon Neufeld. It’s moody and seems riddled with drama. And it’s longer than you might expect from this tempo. Over seven minutes. Do you think to yourself, this should be over.? But it goes on and I feel establishes its credibility through a persistent building melody. A spell song. Grunge folk fueled by her quietly faltering vocals.
