Ballake Sissoko “Ma- Ma” FC

Ballake Sissoko was born into the griot caste in 1968 in Mali. He lived near Toumani Diabate, often hailed as the finest kora player of his generation and in 1999 recorded a duet album with him called Ancient Strings. French born cellist and bassist, Vincent Segal has recorded three albums with Sissoko, of which Chamber Music was the first. Theirs is a beautiful partnership.
