Anoushka, born in 1981, began studying sitar with her father, Ravi at the age of eight and was performing with him in her early teens. Singer Norah Jones is her half-sister. Her 2011 recording Traveller features the influence of flamenco music, although Lola’s Lullaby, the final piece on the recording written by Shankar does not.
