The Bop Shop 3.2.23 - Jim Pepper

jim pepper, “witchi-tai-to

Music is the spirit of man, expressed as a plea, a prayer, a dream - things we can't always qualify but which exist nevertheless. In this version of “Witchi-tie-to,” the beat is upbeat, for a new and more energetic generation of listeners . This is the dream of Jim Pepper's life, beyond his experience in the "right here - right now". He sings to Water Spirit, among others. He holds true to the belief that inside of every bit of life, there is yet the prospect of a better, balanced, renewing energy. The Water Spirit refers to the heavenly and earthly manifestations of the benevolent divinity of water - the source of life and the sustenance of the totality of life as we know it. Water heals; water gives life; water must be preserved. And of course, there is the chant - the repetition of the prayer & expression of the hope, which remains in progress, always.
