A burgeoning rule for The Bop Shop is that it is to be only one song long. Don’t overload. Sharpen the point. Pare away the unnescessaire! No eyes bigger than stomach. But I’ve failed. The refined talents of Max Roach made today’s Bopper a Big Bopper. A show stopper. A floor mopper. A tree topper.
