Antonin Dvorak wrote this piece upon visiting America in 1893, coloring his impressions of the country.. It has been performed in many settings but perhaps none more movingly than here. Veteran workhorses of the spirit Hank Jones and Charlie Haden realize it quietly, making an atmosphere of dignity and love. It has graced innumerable memorial services but can inspire any time you can give your time to it. Elegance!
