The American guitar originalist John Fahey whose impressionist work was legendary started his own record label Takoma records in 1959. No one was buying the style he was driving so he forged a home for it himself. He had the good sense to absorb the great banjo evangelist Billy Faier who brought an expanded sensibility to the instrument. Hard to find but an optimistic trimumph.
